If you have not read this book I can’t recommend it enough.

I really like and agree with it.  Being successful is not random.  It is something that is developed.  I look at my boys.  Granted they are still very young, 10 & 7.  But they are advanced when it comes to sports and athletics compared to other kids their age.  People say to my wife and I that they are ‘naturals’ and ‘gifted’.  I am not so sure about that.  What I see is the hours of play and practice they have put into sports and CrossFit since they were able to walk.  They are homeschooled and have literally grown up at our gym.  They have logged more hours playing sports than anyone who is going to public school can because they are literally allowed to and encouraged to play outside with each other.  They have put in the hours and years of practice already at such a young age so they appear to be naturals.  That coupled with the focus on eating properly and teaching them a growth mindset has led to them being exceptional in what they have worked/played for.
